Omnidoc was launched in 2019 with a tele-expertise platform designed to improve healthcare professional communication and sharing of medical knowledge. This tele-expertise platform facilitates secure medical opinions, thereby allowing doctors direct access to specialist advice at the shortest possible time frames for diagnoses and optimization of patient treatment. The efficiency of healthcare delivery would also be improved by making healthcare delivery more streamlined in terms of patients’ care through enhanced traceability, tracking, and financial valuation of medical exchange.

Since its launch, Omnidoc has seen tremendous momentum in France where the company’s service is currently deployed in 50% of public hospitals and supports over one million tele-expertise consultations every year. As the medical industry tries to cope with a surging shortage of healthcare professionals, the company has become an essential tool in bettering healthcare delivery. Now, more than 80,000 health professionals utilize Omnidoc’s solution in over 60% of University Hospital Centers in the country.

With the new €6 million investment, Omnidoc plans to expand the capabilities of its platform and further strengthen its presence in the healthcare sector. Part of the funds will be used to hire 20 additional staff members, strengthening the company’s engineering and support teams. These new hires will drive the continued development of Omnidoc’s platform and ensure it can scale efficiently to meet the growing demand for its services.

The expansion plans of Omnidoc not only upgrade its core tele-expertise products but also add new features to the platform. Such new features will include multidisciplinary concertation meetings, assisted teleconsultation, emergency management capabilities, and inter-institutional services. This way, Omnidoc will be connecting health players, such as hospitals, specialists, clinics, and primary care organizations, to optimize communication and streamline patient care pathways. In this manner, Omnidoc aims to improve the quality and efficiency of care by making collaboration between different sectors of the healthcare system seamless.

Omnidoc focuses strategically on international growth. Building from its successful launch in Belgium in October 2023, by implementing the platform at the teaching hospitals Brugmann and Saint-Pierre in Brussels, the company will expedite further expansion into European markets. The company will expand in Germany by 2025 to respond to increased demand for tele-expertise and collaborative solutions for healthcare in Europe. Since healthcare systems around the continent share similar challenges, Omnidoc’s platform stands tall in addressing more efficient collaboration and communication among healthcare professionals.

The new funding round will fuel this international growth, allowing Omnidoc to expand beyond France and Belgium and offer its tele-expertise platform to more hospitals and healthcare providers across Europe. It will not only make specialist advice and medical opinions available to more doctors but also help alleviate the pressure on healthcare systems, especially in regions with workforce shortages.

Omnidoc has already shown its value for improving quality and streamlining the treatment of patients in France, and now, with an eye on international growth, it is perfectly positioned to bring its successful model to other European countries. By expanding its offers and continuing to improve its platform, Omnidoc aims to lead in the digital transformation of healthcare collaboration.

For Omnidoc, the new funding is an important step in its mission to revolutionize medical collaboration and make high-quality healthcare more accessible and efficient. By using leading-edge technology to improve the way health professionals interact and share knowledge, Omnidoc is helping drive the future of healthcare. Expansion into new markets will play a significant role in further shaping the future of telemedicine and collaboration within the healthcare industry.

As the healthcare sector continues to evolve with the challenges of modern medicine, platforms like Omnidoc play a critical role in improving communication, reducing inefficiencies, and ultimately delivering better patient care. With an increasing presence in Europe and plans for further expansion, Omnidoc is positioning itself as a leader in tele-expertise and collaborative healthcare solutions.
