As per general procedures of new phone releases, most of its important specification details and characteristics of these future handsets have also surfaced, creating waves among gadget lovers.

The latest leaks have given us more clues into the expected specifications of Oppo Reno 13 Pro, including chipset, display, camera configuration, design, and charging capabilities. Here is everything we know so far from the latest rumors about this device: Oppo Reno 13 Pro: A Step Back in Chipset, But An Upgrade in Other Areas?
Among the most critical leaks about Oppo Reno 13 Pro, it’s a MediaTek Dimensity 8350, which has not been officially announced by MediaTek yet. According to the Digital Chat Station from Weibo, known for making true predictions previously, it has the information about it. If true, it would mark a step backward to the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC, as seen in its predecessor, the Oppo Reno 12 Pro. The Dimensity 8350 may promise better power efficiency but will not be on the same level of raw performance as the 9200+.

Other things being equal, the rest of Oppo Reno 13 Pro will be said to maintain a high-end specification profile in some aspects and further enhanced in others. That being said, it should still deliver a good balance in terms of performance, camera, and design enhancements.

Bigger Display with Rounded Corners

In terms of display, the Oppo Reno 13 Pro will have a rather large 6.83-inch quad-curved screen. It is much larger than the 6.7-inch curved OLED panel on the Oppo Reno 12 Pro. This can be appealing to users for media consumption, gaming, or multitasking purposes because of the size of the display. The quad-curved edges of the display are going to provide an immersive view experience, which makes it look premium.

Though no other details about the resolution and display technology are confirmed, it is assumed that the Reno 13 Pro will feature a high-resolution OLED display, vivid colors, and deep blacks, just like the predecessors from the series.

Memory and Storage Options to Knock

The Oppo Reno 13 Pro is going to offer some impressive configurations related to memory and storage. Latest leaks suggest that the phone will be able to support up to 16GB of RAM for smooth performance under heavy multitasking scenarios. The storage options might go as high as a staggering 1TB, which will offer enough space for users to store large files, media, and apps. It will be possible to have the Reno 12 Pro with a maximum of 16GB RAM, 512GB of internal storage so that the memory update given will be huge.

However, such a huge amount of memory storage in likely being the top-line smartphone device would attract even power-users who would crave top-tier level device, such as Reno 13 Pro.

Triple Camera Configuration with Dual 50MP Cameras

As one might expect, there would also be another forte, especially in terms of photography: the Oppo Reno 13 Pro camera features will, if the leaks say, a triple camera system sporting the primary camera on it to be 50 MP alongside an 8MP ultra-wide-angle snapper. The second will once again be 50MP which supports telephoto shoots. One of the outstanding features is the dual 50-megapixel sensors, ideal for users who want to capture impressive detail and clarity in their images while shooting portraits, landscapes, or close-up shots.

Besides the rear cameras, a 50-megapixel front camera will also enhance the selfie and video calling experience. The device would be marketed more among photography enthusiasts who demand high premium device performance with excellent camera performance.

The leaked camera setup is almost identical to the Oppo Reno 12 Pro. This means that, although the main sensors and features are likely to be the same, Oppo may tweak the software or make minor adjustments to make it better for performance and image quality.

Premium build quality with water and dust resistance

The Oppo Reno 13 Pro reportedly carries a premium design, with a metal middle frame in this case, which would result in the device having a robust and solid feel in hand. It will also be carrying both IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. If confirmed, that would be a significant advancement over the Oppo Reno 12 Pro, which has a rating of only IP65 for dust and water resistance. Higher ratings like IP68 and IP69 are more indicative of the ability of the Reno 13 Pro to withstand exposure to water and dust, and it would be more rugged and durable for active users or those who frequently use their devices in challenging environments.

Wireless charging is also supported, a feature that has gained extreme popularity across flagships. Although the Oppo Reno 12 Pro offered 80W SuperVOOC wired charging, the support for wireless charging will be an added advantage, making the phone even more alluring to those who can get more convenient ways of charging.

What’s Next for the Oppo Reno 13 Series?

We will have far more official announcements and leaked images of the Oppo Reno 13 series soon enough. While the Reno 13 Pro will retain several the features of its predecessor, an upgrade in terms of display size, storage, camera system, and endurance would make this one particularly exciting for a premium mobile experience. Well, some consumers may still have a few doubts about that decision to add the Dimensity 8350 chipset over the previous generation’s Dimensity 9200+, especially pure performance seekers.
