Kyan Health, a Zurich-based startup, has raised $16.7 million to address the growing challenge of workplace mental health and its impact on productivity. With a focus on preventing lost workdays and improving overall employee well-being, Kyan Health uses AI-powered technology to provide businesses with a proactive, measurable approach to mental health care. This funding includes a $4 million seed round led by Amplo VC, as well as a $12.7 million Series A led by Swisscom Ventures – a major step forward in the company’s quest to rethink workplace wellness and make mental health a key driver of business success.

It takes Kyan Health’s total capital up to $18.4 million, which will be used by the company for further developing its platform globally and enhancing its AI capabilities, along with continued services for enterprises. GreyMatter Capital, naturalX Health Ventures, Founderful, Joyance Partners, and a host of angel investors have participated in this round.
AI-Powered Wellness for the Modern Workforce
Despite heavy investment—over $94 billion annually in the area of workplace wellness programs—businesses are still dealing with problems such as absenteeism, turnover, and presenteeism. Traditional wellness solutions are also more reactive rather than predictive. Kyan Health looks forward to altering this approach as it relies on predictive AI tools to proactively support mental health and reduce the unwanted impacts of mental health challenges in the workplace.
“Mental health isn’t a luxury—it’s essential for a thriving workforce,” said Vlad Gheorghiu, CEO and Co-Founder of Kyan Health. “Through my own experiences and leading global mental health initiatives, I saw how inadequate existing tools were. This funding will allow us to create solutions that are proactive, measurable, and give organizations the tools they need to act before crises arise.”
The AI-Driven Care Navigator
It is with this core that the Kyan Health platform possesses an element of an AI-powered care navigator called Kai. It offers workers a comprehensive set of mental health resources. This includes access to confidential counselling, coaching, and crisis support-all through a simplified user interface. It uses end-to-end encryption for guaranteed privacy and gives employers aggregate insights to help refine workplace conditions.
The company has already attracted the interest of large enterprise clients, such as Hitachi Energy, Hilti, STADA, Deutsche Börse Group, and On, which is a Swiss sportswear brand. For instance, On realized 50% employee engagement with Kyan’s platform, leading to an annual value of $2.9 million by means of increased productivity, reduced attrition, and cost savings-pretty impressive at 11.6x return on investment.
We chose Kyan because they are the only provider offering a truly comprehensive solution that supports both individual and organisational needs,” said Achim Braun, CHRO of Hitachi Energy. “Our partnership with Kyan began in 2022 and we are happy to continue working together.”
A New Approach to Corporate Mental Health
Co-founded by Vlad Gheorghiu, Konstantin Struck, and Ignacio Leonhardt, Kyan Health combines a massive amount of leadership experience in corporate and mental health. Gheorghiu previously helped lead McKinsey’s global mental health program; he first-hand witnessed challenges with managing mental health in high-pressure corporate environments. Along with Struck, an associate partner at McKinsey & Co, and Leonhardt, serial entrepreneur and co-founder of Handy.com, Kyan Health was born to offer personalized care to employees and also systemic solutions to organization.
With Series A funding, the company is looking to scale its platform and improve its AI capabilities in a bid to take its services worldwide. Victoria Lietha, Investment Director at Swisscom Ventures, who led the Series A funding round and now sits on Kyan’s board, commented, “Kyan Health is reshaping how companies support mental health by offering scalable, predictive solutions that meet the needs of global enterprises. We’re excited to support a company that is leading this important transformation.”
Changing the Workplace Mental Health Paradigm
The company’s approach, therefore, shifts from reactive wellness to predictive solutions dealing with challenges affecting the workforce before having a negative impact on business performance. Kyan Health provides organizations with actionable insights that enable them to respond proactively to mental health issues, eliminating absences and improving productivity. The novel model places the employee’s mental well-being as a vital indicator of business performance and success.
Kyan Health offers an enterprise platform of AI-driven tools that provide employees with a support mechanism while bringing measurable value to the organization. As a key player in the growing global demand for workplace mental health solutions, Kyan Health is one of the new faces of business redefinition for approaches taken in mental wellness to drive improvement in employee well-being and better business outcomes.
