Apple today unveiled Final Cut Pro 11, the massive update to the professional video editing software for Mac and exciting updates to its iPad version of Final Cut Pro, Final Cut Camera and Logic Pro. Newly armed with intelligent M-series chip-based features powered by machine learning, these new versions give both professional and aspiring creators new tools to build even more efficient and creative workflows.
Major characteristics of Final Cut Pro 11
Final Cut Pro 11 enables editors to possess trailblazing technology that decongests video editing and gets along with the creativity process. Keen improvements are the ones concerning features.
Magnetic Mask. New in the version is an AI-powered tool that makes it simple to isolate people or objects within a video clip so that they may be modified independently without rotoscoping or green screens. And within itself, the analysis performed by the automatic state allows for precisely customizing the background, meaning that the resulting mask layers will automatically play well with color correction and other visual effects.
Transcribe to Captions-the most requested feature in the history of Photos, automatically generates closed captions for videos. Based on Apple’s large language model, the feature transcribes your spoken audio quickly so that your editors can put informative, accurate captions in the timeline easily.
Spatial Video Editing: A new feature to edit spatial video based on which users can create and deliver immersive video experiences for Apple Vision Pro. Final Cut Pro 11 enables importing and editing of spatial video clips for heightened depth effects, title adjustments, and more. Spatial videos can be captured directly on Apple Vision Pro or supported iPhones and cameras.
AI-Powered Tools – Along with Magnetic Mask and Transcribe to Captions, Final Cut Pro 11 also comes with other AI-driven features like Smart Conform, with social-media-friendly format; Enhance Light and Colour, an advanced auto color correct for videos; Smooth Slo-Mo; and Voice Isolation, where the volume of speech is enhanced, and background noise reduced.
Upgrade: Improvements for Final Cut Pro for iPad
Version 2.1 of the iPad version of Final Cut Pro is also significantly improved and optimized for touch-first editing. The feature includes:
Enhance Light and Color – This feature offers the adjustment of color balance, contrast, or brightness of videos and images in one tap. It works flawlessly with SDR, HDR, and RAW media.
Live Drawing: This feature is a lot more expressive now with watercolor, crayon, and fountain pen options. Users can add animations and artistic touches to videos created through this tool.
Haptic Feedback: For those editing with the Apple Pencil Pro or Magic Keyboard, haptic feedback gives a touch during editing.
Expanded Content Library – This update features new modular transitions, color grading presets, and dynamic soundtracks as part of the library of built-in contents that entail increased creative development in real-time.
Improved Workflow Final Cut Pro for iPad 2.1 Offers new gestures and features such as vertical pinch gestures to change the clip height in the timeline, dynamic resizing of Picture in Picture elements, and support for timelines with higher frame rates up to 120 fps on the iPhone 16 Pro.
Final Cut Camera 1.1 Detailed Recording Features
Final Cut Camera 1.1 offers advanced recording capabilities for mobile video creators, including
4K120 fps Recording – The iPhone 16 Pro lets you record incredibly smooth, and sharp high-quality video in 4K at a whopping 120 frames a second.
Log-Encoding to Support Smaller File Sizes: The feature will allow for recording of Log-encoded HEVC video with much smaller file sizes that do not compromise good quality dynamic range.
LUT Preview-Sample Preview of a LUT for recording. It can help the user to imagine the final output that their recorded footage will produce.
Updates in Logic Pro

It includes Quantec Room Simulator, a well-known legendary reverb effect used by the world’s top musicians.
